Food & Essentials Distribution

Every Friday, between 300 and 450 individuals receive bags of food — including nonperishables and fresh, culturally preferred produce. In addition, essential items such as diapers, hygiene kits, clothing, and school supplies are made available on a rotating basis throughout the month. Each guest is welcomed with dignity, no questions asked.

Pan de Vida: Homebound Deliveries

Launched in 2019, Pan de Vida is the only program of its kind in Immokalee serving homebound elderly and disabled farmworkers. Each week, about 20 clients receive three healthy, home-cooked meals, often accompanied by fresh vegetables, hygiene items, birthday gifts, or seasonal extras. For many, the volunteer who knocks on their door is their only human contact that week. With each delivery, our volunteers bring not just food, but friendship, dignity, and care.

Community Engagement & Education

Beyond meeting basic needs, Misión Peniel fosters spaces of learning, creativity, and healing. Through music lessons, tutoring, and community workshops, we help individuals and families build skills, express themselves, and connect more deeply. These activities are led by staff, local volunteers, and partner organizations throughout the year.

Pastoral Care & Presence

Misión Peniel walks with people during life’s most difficult moments — in grief, illness, incarceration, and loss. Our team provides pastoral care through home visits, hospital and jail outreach, and quiet one-on-one conversations. This ministry of presence is not about quick fixes but about showing up, staying present, and reminding people that they are not alone.

Christmas Joy Campaign

Every December, the spirit of the season comes alive as hundreds of children receive a holiday gift, a festive goodie bag, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Thanks to the compassion of community friends and partners, Christmas Joy brings warmth, laughter, and hope to families across Immokalee.
