Thank you for Making our Backpack/School

Supplies-Drive a Success!

Thanks to all the generous donors who contributed, and all the amazing volunteers who sorted, packed, and distributed the backpacks.

Our goal was to fill 500 backpacks with everything kids need to start the year off - pens, pencils, crayons, composition books, spiral notebooks, and more. But your support was so overwhelming that we were able to distribute backpacks to 550 children of 182 families.

YES, 550 - children whose school year is off to a better start because of YOU!

A huge                                 to everyone who made this possible

Thank you for sharing in Misión Peniel's...

Good news!  We are once again signing up church and other small groups for Friday serving!

The mission is accepting two Friday groups of 6-8 to assist with food organization and/or distribution on Fridays from either 11 a.m -1 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.  We prefer that volunteers are fully vaccinated and boosted.  The use of face masks is now optional.

Please use our Calendar to view open dates and contact Marifrans Estrada to reserve a spot:

July - August 2023

Throughout the pandemic we have suspended all distribution except for fresh produce and non perishable food items as well as diapers (size 3,4,5,6 only)  hygiene items and children's books.

Click here for our July-August 2023 Needs List

We have decided to suspend distribution of clothing until further notice. We will accept baseball caps and in the winter months, jackets and blankets.  We also accept any type of rain gear: ponchos, umbrellas and light rain jackets.

General Household

Due to a limited amount of storage, we ask that if you have things like pots, pans, basic dishes, sheets, pillows, bicycles, or portable sleeping tents that you contact the mission first to confirm there is a need.

If you have a delivery of these items, please contact us by phone, text or email ahead of time as our schedule on site has limited hours.  We cannot accept donations on Fridays unless your group is serving that day.  Thank you for understanding.
